Tuesday!!!
Last night as I drifted off to sleep, I realized that I had not posted anything on my blog. I was too dang tired to get out of bed and post something so I will just have to do two one of these days. I got up early this morning and was at work by 6:45 am (thanks to my mom for taking care of my kids and getting them to school and daycare) and worked until 6 pm tonight. Is it tax season yet? We are super busy this week and I've got to make it through tomorrow and Thursday and then I think that it will get back to normal.
We have been living back here in Idaho since December 2009. The opportunity to move out here came rather quickly and I jumped at the chance to be closer to my family. I have always longed to have the opportunity to spend time with my family - to be closer to my two Grandmas, to let my children have the opportunity to get to know their immediate family and have great relationships with them. So far it has been the perfect choice. I know it is diffucult for Carson and Morgan to be away from their Dad, Rylee, Jordan and Cameron; however, for us this has been the right choice.
Sunday dinner has been a big tradition at my parents house and we were excited to join in on the festivities. It has changed from the way it once was, due to church schedules and nap times however, what has evolved has been a wonderful tradition which I hope that we carry on for a very long time. The best part is that both of my grandmothers have joined us on Sundays to have dinner and spend time with us. Merritt and Melissa's families usually join us in the later afternoon for some fun cousin time. We have cherished every moment.
Sadly, for the last couple of months, my Grandma VanOrden has not been able to join us on Sundays. She was hospitalized before Labor Day and since then her health has deteriorated. In fact, she is being cared for by Hospice now and it is not long before she will be leaving us for the next part of her journey. I am so sad to see her go, yet so happy for her to be with my Grandpa, my uncles, brother and cousins who have passed on before. I am thankful that my children have spent nine months of their lives getting to know her better and learn to love her. It is something that I can never replace.
Morgan is named after my Grandfather - Morgan VanOrden and my dad Layne VanOrden. He has a righteous heritage to follow and great examples of service and testimony. We are extremely lucky :)

My goal for the week...
I have a goal for this week - I am going to blog every day!!! I am saying this outloud so that I will have some responsibility. My sister-in-law, Mandee, had a cute book made of her blog. I was inspired to get back into this and start writing down memories. The book was so fun to look at and we have had almost a whole year of NOT blogging so what better way to jump in than just DO IT!!!
Today was our ward's primary program. It is when the children, ages 3 - 12, present the entire program. It is always awesome to hear them sing and to feel the spirit. There is always a lot of funny stuff going on because you know, kids can't just be still, they have to be doing something! Morgan was the first child with a speaking part and it was easy - he just had to recite the First Article of Faith. Yeah, right :) Since being in primary this year, Morgan has gotten very comfortable in front of everyone - in fact a little too comfortable.
As soon as he is at the front of the room, he puts on his comedian face and tries to be funny about everything.
When he started speaking into the microphone today, he said, "We believe in GOD" (really loud and little too giggly for me) and then quietly and fast "the eternal father" (getting his tempo slowed down again) "in his son JESUS CHRIST" (again loud!) "and in the Holy Ghost" (really fast). Yeah it was kinda embarrasing. At least my brother, Merritt, got a big kick out of it. He couldn't stop laughing. He was just happy to pass on the embarrassing kid moment to me! And let me tell you, in our ward there are 8 VanOrden grandchildren so the odds of it happening to one of us is pretty high!
Carson was not able to participate today as she had another headache. We were recommended to go to another doctor and I'm gonna give it a shot. We have tried all sorts of things since we moved here (I will put that in a post later) and I'm not giving up. I hate seeing her suffer with a dibilitating headache for two to three days. On a positive note, she didn't have a headache in Disneyland and she won't be having one on Halloween like she did last year!!! Woo Hoo!
