"I don't want to live, I want to love first, and live incidentally."

Neal A Maxwell

We realize that the way to strengthen the children is to help them become anchored in the scriptures, but first we must become anchored ourselves.

Happiness is a choice.

Forever, for always, and no matter what.

My most cherished possesion I wish I could leave you is my faith in Jesus Christ, for with him and nothing else can you be happy, but without him and with all else, you'll never be happy.
Patrick Henry

Acknowledging reality is a do-it-yourself project.

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person

On Marriage:
"It is more important to be kind than be right"

"Be loyal to the royal that is in you, for you are the child of a King." - Harold B. Lee

"Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don't come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come." - Jeffrey R. Holland

"We could all learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have wierd names, and all are different colors. . . but they all haveto learn to live together in the same box."

Family quarrels are bitter things. They don't go by any rules. They're not like aches or wounds; they're more like splits in the skin that won't heal because there's not enough material. ~F. Scott Fitzgerald

To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there. ~Barbara Bush

The great advantage of living in a large family is that early lesson of life's essential unfairness. ~Nancy Mitford

The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works is the family. ~Lee Iacocca

Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family. ~Anthony Brandt

Happiness does not depend on what happens outside of you but on what happens inside of you

Family traditions are like spiritual and emotional cement in the foundation of a happy home. They create fond memories, and these memories bond us together as nothing else can.

We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck
